[NO BUG] Table / Nerd Menu Functionality
#1
Thanks for all the effort on the new firmware - simply amazing!

Any reason why adding a random (or any kind of table) - with the Nerd Menu doesn't work for me? I select Shift>Nerd and Preset>Random and hit Ok but nothing happens? More than likely something stupid on my end...

You got to set the random range on the right ;-)

No bug but a cool feature Smile

And in case you don't know yet: SHIFT Left/Right on the presets in the nerd menu will bring you also more presets/chords and hitting OK will fill them into the table.

I got it thanks - appears to be a UX issue though - when I make the selection - 'Preset > Random' I expect the modal window to close revealing the changes below - currently have to select 'Abort' which is counter-intuitive from a user perspective.

Would be nice also if a user could hit 'ok' on the Table number in the sequencer screen to drill-down into the table as opposed to selecting the table number then hitting the physical Table button.

Thanks again for everything...

I had it like this and trust me it doesn't feel nice at all. When you play with different chords you don't want to leave the Nerd Menu.
You can always just press the table button instead of pressing abort.

And just updating the table part while the Nerd menu stays in front is not easy possible, so i skipped that for this release.

Just as an idea:
Shift+OK -> back to table
OK only-> stay in Nerd Menu

Got to check if it interferes with anything

On first contact with that functionality - I was hitting OK on the random option - but didn't realize that random values were being populated under the nerd menu as it covers a good deal of the screen real-estate. My point was that there was no visual feedback when I made my selection - or none that my old eyes could see. Hence thinking it was a bug.

As you probably know, a modal window is meant to draw the users focus to what is happening inside the window removing distraction from other parts of the screen.
I still think when a selection is made the window should disappear. Maybe a Shift+OK selection could be a power-user selection to keep the screen in place to iterate on different selections. Hope this helps.

Hey there!
Shift/nerd brings me to preset>...
but so far it's empty, do I have to create them?
Can we share some and import them?

Also I didn't get how to sequence the SET CHORDS in order to create
harmonic movements. Can I do that?

Thanks a lot
