Issue switching pattern with table and pattern without
#1
Hi,
I have a little issue with one track. I explain :
In the same track I have a pattern (n°1) with a melodic sequence (4 notes) and I have an other pattern (N°6) with a melody played by a table, like an arpeggio.
When I switch from the pattern with the table to the pattern without the table :
- it keeps the table running (so I have to put a empty table to stop that)
- it changed pattern instantly while I would like that pattern changed in the ryhtm for this one.
What can I do ?
Thanks !!!

Hey,

1-> It keeps the table running if the pattern is not stopped. That is intended and guarantees a good flow of the tables over mutliple patterns.
2-> Not sure what you did, but it changes the pattern in the rythm in the same way as it would do without a table. The rules are it changes to the next if the current pattern was finished (via brk or patternlength) OR on a queuepoint if you double press start. I see no issue here.

Thanks you for the message Smile
I re-try some things with what you say but :

1-> If you stop the pattern with table and start the other one, it keeps the table running and mix it with the new melody.
It's why I declare an empty table 00 in the new pattern.
2-> unfortunately, start or double start doesn't fix my issue, if I start new pattern it changes immediately without queuing, consequence -> melody is shifted.
Maybe it's because of how I build the pattern with table : inside the pattern there is a note, a table, and a BRK000 in the same line. In the table there is 8 notes, speed 6, endless. Undecided

Thks

Oh sorry, of course tables keep playing. They only stop on sequencer stop.

You mean you have a brk on the first line?
Then of course it starts the new pattern because the current pattern is finished directly with the brk.
Is it that what you do?

Yes, so i decided to move down the BRK command 8 steps further in the tracker (as long as the table) and I put an empty table on the other pattern to reset table playing. That's ok, it works.
