Hi,
I'm curious if any of you have used Nerdseq to successfully sequence the Digitakt? I saw an earlier post, earlier firmware, where there were issues. Not sure what this workflow would allow me, versus using the internal sequencer on the DT itself, but I like the idea of the NERDSEQ as my brain, especially when I'm unplugged from the DAW/Ableton.
I want to explore old-school jungle production a bit, and it seems using a tracker has some advantages for this, in addition to the nostalgia and homage to roots factors. I haven't looked into loading chopped breaks (i.e. samples) onto the NERDSEQ directly.
I've seen some of you integrating an ER-301, which looks quite a beast but is unavailable at present due to COVID. Not sure what it would add to a Digitakt (which I already have), in terms of sequencing samples (other than the simplicity of keeping it in my rack). It obviously does other things, looping and recording, synthesis, and so on that I've gathered from some cursory review.
Are any of you guys sequencing old-school jungle with the NERDSEQ? I would love to hear a bit about workflow (in relation to a NERDSEQ ecosystem, as there is a lot of material out there otherwise)!
Thanks much!
